If you are like me and think In-N-Out Burger is way over-rated then you'll know what I'm talking about.
It's just a little shack on the corner with great made with what you want on it burgers and plenty of fries that you can shake in a bag with some ketchup making the perfect duo of fast food.
Be sure to bring cash cause it's a cash only joint.
For mice and men. This place is good! The old locale was on Coldwater Canyon where i first experienced it. That place was run down therefore I had to try it. If it is good for the rats then I need to try it. The other location is on Riverside which is a lot nicer. What a burger stand.
Burgers are amazing. The fat content on the burger makes the burger what it is. Seasoned perfectly. I like to get my mustard on the bottom and mayo in top which puzzles the cook somewhat but he does it anyways. I like getting Orange bang with my meal. Fries are pretty nice also. Sometimes I get the pastrami burger which is a splurge. The pastrami is nice also.
great tasting burgers, prices are ok... I think they should still lower em.. i got a burger and chili cheese fries no drink and it came out to 7 something.. but the burger was pretty fucking good.. umm the fries were salty, but i liked how they used the skinny fries instead of the fat ones.. this place is cooool
I don't get it... I just don't get it.
I'm sorry Christopher and all the other Yelpers who gave this place 5 stars. I do go by what Yelp says that 5 stars means "Wooohooo!!! It's as good as it gets!" Well, I have had better.
The burger was really good, but the meat was pretty pink (which we did NOT request). I actually like it like that but my friend did not. And the bun fell apart on both of us (also mentioned on another review). I've had some messy burgers elsewhere and the buns didn't fall apart. I suggest Jack purchased some better buns.
We also ordered fries and onion rings to share. The fries were fine, but we didn't care for the onions rings. They were over-breaded and why are they all the same size? When you cut onions into slices, the rings all aren't the same size. So why were these? Makes me feel like they might be frozen and that they don't make them fresh. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.
What really annoyed me was that they don't put the onion rings or fries into little bags before putting them into the to-go bag. So each of our bags were covered with grease on the bottom.
And I didn't like how the guys in the shack kept grunting at us. Never a thank you or a smile. I felt like we were bothering them or something.
So yelp says 2 stars means, "Meh. I've experienced better." Well, I have.
So I'm in the car with my father Yesterday, and he asks, "Where do you want to eat?" I tell him I want to goto Jack's Classic Hamburgers, and that it's the best fast food burger I've had in some time.
As we approach the little burger stand, he asks me, "Why is it the best burger you've had? What makes it so good?" I respond, "Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet?" I can't get into the physics of why this particular bacon double cheeseburger tastes so good; perhaps it's the seasoning, or the quality of the beef, or the crispness of the bacon. What I can say is that the burger felt really good going down.
